TimeLine Alerting Option

The ProActive DBA TimeLine Alerting Option integrates with TimeLine’s monitoring capabilities to provide you with powerful alerting features to monitor your critical servers.

Here are some of the features the TimeLine Alerting Option includes:

Database Performance

  • CPU/engine usage
  • Cache hit / miss rate
  • Blocking
  • Database Availability
  • Server up / down status
  • Data / log space usage
  • Resource availability (connections, locks, open object / indexes / etc.)
  • Database Error Log Alerts
  • Error codes / severity levels logged
  • Internal errors (stack trace, time slice, etc.)
  • Custom include/exclude text patterns
  • Operating System Alerts
  • CPU Usage
  • RAM usage
  • Pagefile / swap usage
  • Paging / swapping I/Os
  • O/S process up/down
  • Process activity (CPU, RAM, etc.)

The TimeLine Alerts Option lets you view alerts together with SQL/login activity and performance metrics all in a single integrated graphical interface.

The Global Alerts feature lets you define alerts once and apply them to groups of servers in your enterprise.

Alerts can log an event with full details, send an e-mail notification, run a user SQL or O/S script and/or take a database activity snapshot for later review.

There are also lots of features for customizing alerts and integrating with your existing alerting infrastructure.
