New TimeLine Spinlock Monitoring for ASE

In ProActive DBA 9.1, the TimeLine performance monitor includes a new tab that reports spinlock contention statistics for your monitored SAP Sybase ASE servers.

This tab lists the various types of spinlocks used in ASE that most commonly cause performance problems, and tracks the contention rates over time for each type.  This lets you easily identify where spinlock contention is a problem, so you can optimize ASE’s configuration to reduce the contention and increase server throughput.
